Update?
While I was keen to support the NHS workers in the North East where I live, I was not 100% happy that the charities I named would be able to direct the funds that YOU raise to this specific aim. Since I started this venture a new charity has started up, The Healthcare Workers’ Foundation. This is a charity set up by NHS staff themselves, “Healthcare Workers’ Foundation (formerly HEROES) is a charity founded by NHS workers, for NHS workers. We exist to support the welfare and wellbeing of those fighting to keep us healthy and safe during the COVID-19 crisis, and beyond..“. I feel this charity best meets the aims and objectives I set out from the beginning.
I recently donated all the money I have taken from this site, £1300, and donated it to the HEROES charity on behalf of you.
Why Now?
The current COVID-19 pandemic is putting a huge strain on everyone in society, non more than the NHS frontline staff in primary, secondary or community care role.
What Am I doing?
As a new/upstart/novice ceramic artist I have been persuaded by several friends, contrary to my own assessment, that some of the pieces I have made over the past few months may be worth selling, hence this website.
I have decided to contribute to the current fundraising towards supporting the NHS by donating all the proceeds from this site to the charitable organisations of main NHS Trusts within the North East. Healthcare Works’ Foundation. In particular my concerns lie in the support for staff directly who, as a result of the current pandemic, have suffered loss or are being affected in a way detrimental to their mental health.

If you would like you may also contribute directly to the charities by donating using one of the buttons below. This has the added advantage that you can nominate your contribution for Gift Aid. This means that the Chancellor has to cough up a further 25% approx.
*that is what you pay for the item plus postage, less what I pay for post and packing.
